Alert/focus when mandatory fields not filled in

Hi,

 

When there are mandatory fields in the SharePoint List, it does not seem to do anything upon submitting/saving the form if any of those are blank.

It would be good if the form could either:

a) focus onto the missing required information (without writing focus for every field)

b) have an alert/pop up to prompt the user to "fill in the fields with asterisks*"

 

I am seeing the second option as probably the easier solution but unsure how to implement.

    Hi,

    An error message appears below the field, by default. But if the filed is located in an inactive tab, a user will not see the error. In that case, you can use a workaround described in the thread:
